HOMELESS FRIEND TAKES PRAYER REQUEST TO WASHINGTON D.C. FOR SHERIFF HUTCHENS

Pastor Wiley Drake, Chairman of The Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D.C. said today that a homeless man who is a friend of the Sheriff, brought the prayer request today to the early morning "Telephonic Prayer Meeting".

The "Telephonic Prayer Meeting" meets daily, Washington D.C. time at 8:00 am EST, and is a part of the D.C. group


Co-Chairman of the D.C. group, Dr. Clyde Rivers, who is the Ambassador to the African Country of Burundi said he will take this prayer request for Sheriff Hutchens World Wide.

The homeless man, Peter Maxant, will appear on the Wiley Drake Show

Sheriff diagnosed with breast cancer

Sheriff Sandra Hutchens was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, but expects to remain in her position while undergoing treatment.




Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, at right, gets a hug from Susan Kang Schroeder with the District Attorney's office after announcing she has breast cancer Monday. She will remain Sheriff as she undergoes six-to-eight-months of treatment. " I'm very optimistic about it," Hutchens said.

The climate on Capital Hill has changes the last couple of years in the area of religious freedom. There is much opposition against the voice of faith-based values. We at the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D.C. are gearing up to lobby against issues that stand against our Constitutional Rights and our faith values. Dr. Rivers, Co-chairman of CPC Washington D.C. says, “We will not stand by and do nothing as religious freedom is under attack in our country. We have a constitutional right to express our views and we will have a voice. Honoring Veterans Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC

The Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D.C. hosted the second annual “Honor a Veteran Day” on Veterans Day 2012. We at CPC of Washington D.C. hold a strong view that our veterans have protected our freedom in the United States of America and around the world and are worthy of great honor. The Chairman, Wiley Drake Sr. and Co-Chairman, Dr. Clyde Rivers believe it’s the right thing to do. Our veterans have fought, many losing their lives and some obtaining major injury resulting in disfigurement and crippling, while protecting those in need of protection around the world and at home. Dr. Rivers, Co-Chairman of CPC says, “We owe our lives to the protectors of our freedom. Let’s honor our veterans’ everyday, not just on Veterans Day. Please, WE the people, continue to join together in honoring our vets.”

Dr. Robert Ornelas, Top Ambassador for Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC Accepts Vice Presidential Candidacy

This is an encouraging day for the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC, to have Dr. Robert Ornelas, an Ambassador for the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC to the Native American Nations, accept the Vice Presidential candidacy of the United States of America on an Independent Ticket.



Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC, Dr. Clyde Rivers shared with us today, “I have personally known Dr. Ornales for 15 years and can say with all confidence he has proven himself to be a man of God, as well as a voice for the next generation. His candidacy is a great honor for the Latin communities throughout the United States and the Body of Christ.”

The Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC was invited as a guest for the National Day of Prayer, an annual event on Capital Hill.



Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington DC, Dr. Clyde Rivers said today, “It is a magnificent day when we, as Americans, have the ability to call upon Jesus Christ to help our nation from Capital Hill – one of the most prestigious location of the Government of the United States. It was encouraging to see so many groups praying for our nation on the National Day of Prayer.”



It was reported that over 40,000 groups were gathered together for prayer for American on the National Day of Prayer.

Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D.C. Appoints Ambassador

The Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D.C. has appointed Dr. Manuel Tigerino to the esteemed Position as Ambassador for the CPC of D. C. because of his great work within the Latin communities of the United States of America.  He will help the CPC of D.C. unify the body of Christ around praying for our nation.  Dr. Manuel Tigerino is the founder of the internationally known Latin University of Theology which is known for it's 25,000 graduates around the world.  His voice on Capitol Hill is a big plus for the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington D. C.

CPC of D.C. in conjunction with the Wiley Drake Show and Crusade Radio will

D.C. as we support the body of Christ. The Congressional Prayer Conference of
Washington D.C. will be “Live “from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
with Pastor Amos Dodge, of the Capital Church of Washington D.C. We will then
tour with Pastor Jeff Wright, of the National Prayer Embassy of Washington D.C."
